Hortus Gymnasium has set a goal to reduce water consumption and has implemented a series of measures to rationalize its use. These measures will allow for the recovery of wasted water for productive use, with a volume ranging from 2 to 3 liters per minute and will result in a reduction of water consumption by 30-40% compared to traditional systems. Since the beginning of 2017, the first drip irrigation systems have been installed for the cultivation of plants around the five designated gardens. The system has been extended for 3,000 linear meters, divided into distinct sectors for different crops, with consumption sensors for computerized management. This advanced irrigation system ensures efficient water usage and contributes to sustainable practices on the estate.
